Why the geometry of the hood matters more than the fleece weight.
A hood is a three-panel puzzle. Get any of the three wrong and it sits like a bag on the shoulders.
We spent most of the winter re-cutting our standard hood to sit higher on the neck and drape cleaner across the back. The change is invisible in a lookbook photo and obvious the moment you put it on.
